  Brief Profile  

Mr. Waquas Ahmed was born on February 15, 1984, in Shahdadkot, Sindh. He is a teacher with five years of experience in classroom teaching. He has been association with British Council Pakistan as a Teacher Trainer for two years: Teaching for English (ETTE) Project. He has conducted various workshops for the capacity building of government teachers in district Kamber-Shahdadkot. Mr. Ahmed is also a human rights activist and working with Sindh Humanitarian and Development Organization since July 2009. He has completed his M.A. in Urdu literature from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Sindh. Recently, he visited United States of America as a visiting scholar, where he went through eight weeks intensive program of International Leaders in Education in California States University, Chico.

Politically, Waquas Ahmed was affiliated with Blue Party and was member of Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Interior, Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA

Ms. Seep Akhter Channer (YP55-SINDH07) and Mr. Muhammad Zafar Siddique (YP39-PUNJAB19) , Mr. Ubaid Ur Rehman (YP47-PUNJAB27) Mr. Saleem khan (YP05-BALOCHISTAN05), Mr. Omair Najam (YP52-SINDH04) and Mr. Waquas Ahmed (YP60-SINDH12) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that in order to fulfill our energy requirements, Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline should be completed by 2014 without taking international pressure as we are in dire need of energy. Besides generating 5000MW of electricity to plug the electricity shortfall, this project holds critical and strategic importance for Pakistan”.
