  Brief Profile  

Mr. Ubaid ur Rehman was born on August 1, 1990. He is currently enrolled in the final semester of B.Sc Chemical Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology. He is a member of Literary and Debating Society. He is the Chief Editor of Literary Society and Executive Member of the Debating Society. He worked as intern at PINSTECH Islamabad and worked there as a Research Assistant and finally helped in publishing a Research Paper. Last year, he went on Fulbright's Educational and Semester Exchange Program and spent his last semester in the University of Mississippi, Mississippi.

Politically, Ubaid ur Rehman was affiliated with Blue Party and was member of Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Finance, Planning Affairs and Economics

Mr. Siraj Din Memon (YP57-SINDH09), Mr. Amir Abbas (YP08-FATA01), Mr. Muhammad Zafar Siddique (YP39-PUNJAB19), Mr. Salman Khan Shinwari (YP18-KPK05), Ms. Seep Akhter Channer (YP55-SINDH07), Mr. Touseef Ahmed Abbasi (YP02-AJK02), Ms. Anum Mohsin (YP22-PUNJAB02), Mr. Ahmed Numair Farooq (YP21-PUNJAB01) , Mr. Ubaid ur Rehman (YP47-PUNJAB27) and Mr. Umar Riaz (YP36-PUNJAB16) would like to move the following motion: “This House may discuss the need of giving the provincial status to FATA keeping in view the denial of basic political, social and administrative rights to the people of FATA and replaced FCR with PPC.”

Ms. Seep Akhter Channer (YP55-SINDH07) and Mr. Muhammad Zafar Siddique (YP39-PUNJAB19), Mr. Ubaid Ur Rehman (YP47-PUNJAB27) Mr. Saleem khan (YP05-BALOCHISTAN05), Mr. Omair Najam (YP52-SINDH04) and Mr. Waquas Ahmed (YP60-SINDH12) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that in order to fulfill our energy requirements, Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline should be completed by 2014 without taking international pressure as we are in dire need of energy. Besides generating 5000MW of electricity to plug the electricity shortfall, this project holds critical and strategic importance for Pakistan”.

Ms. Shaheera Jalil Albasit (YP56-SINDH08), Mr. Gohar Zaman (YP25-PUNJAB05), Mr. Ubaid-ur- Rehman (YP47-PUNJAB27) and Mr. Muhammad Umar Riaz (YP36-PUNJAB16) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that students in Private educational institutions which are administered by Pakistan Army, Navy and Air force are strictly not allowed to conduct political debates and dialogues on matters relating to the Forces. This House is of the opinion that the military administration of these educational institutions must maintain a difference between a military academy and a civil institution and that these students must be allowed to hold and express their views on all social issues and must not be restricted from healthy political dialogues.”
