  Brief Profile  

Ms. Anam Saeed was born on 18th May 1990 and brought up in the city of Lahore. She completed her graduation in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), 2012 Spring. Anam has been a part of many events held at LUMS while also worked as a researcher for a UAE based company. She has diversified her profile by working as a performing artist for a theatre devoted to social issues in Pakistan. She has been an active writer and penned her opinions on various platforms, including organizations & magazines in Pakistan.

Politically, Anam Saeed was affiliated with Blue Party and was member of Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Finance, Planning Affairs and Economics

Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08), M. Zafar Siddique (YP39-PUNJAB19), Ms. Elwina Rauf (YP10-GB01), Mr. Umer Raza (YP48-PUNJAB28), Mr. Waquas Ahmed (YP60-SINDH12), Mr. Muhammad Aamir Khan Khichi (YP30-PUNJAB10) and Mr. Siraj Memon (YP57-SINDH09) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that the military law should be obedient to the civilian law and government should penalize both the civilians and the military personnel under one judicial system of Pakistan. This will accelerate the process of inculcating harmony between civilians & military officials.”

Mr. Muhammad Zafar Siddique (YP39-PUNJAB19), Mr. Muhammad Aamir Khan Khichi (YP30-PUNJAB10), Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08), Mr. Muhammad Umar Riaz (YP36-PUNJAB16), Mr. Ubaid ur Rehman (YP47-PUNJAB27) and Mr. Siraj Din Memon (YP57-SINDH09) would like to move the following resolution:“This House is of the opinion that the allocation of budget for military by the parliament should be given utmost attention so that a proper check and balance is maintained to reduce any inappropriate allocation of public funds and military budget should be regularly reviewed in Public Accounts Committee and National Assembly of Pakistan.

Mr. Touseef Ahmed Abbasi (YP02-AJK02), Mr. Hassan Ashraf (YP02-AJK02) and Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08) to move the following Motion: “This House may discuss the Article 295-B & C of Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860).Article 295-B states “Whoever willfully defiles, damages or desecrates a copy of the Holy Qur'an or of an extract there from or uses it in any derogatory manner or for any unlawful purpose shall be punishable with imprisonment for life.”Article 295-C states “Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.”

Mr. Amir Abbas (YP08-FATA01), Mr. Salman Khan Shinwari (YP18-KPK05) and Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08) invite the attention of the Honorable Youth Prime Minister to the unfortunate incident of a bomb blast on 10th September, 2012 in which 20 innocent people from Turi Tribe were martyred and 70 were injured in a bomb blast.”

Mr. Hassan Ashraf (YP01-AJK01), Mr. Touseef Ahmed Abbasi (YP02-AJK02), Mr. Aamir Abbas (YP08-FATA01), Mr. Salman Khan Shinwari (YP18-KPK05), Ms. Elia Nauroz Ali (YP03-BALOCHISTAN01), Ms. Sahar Iqbal (YP44-PUNJAB24) and Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08) to introduce a Private Member Bill further to amend “Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860).”

Mr. Amir Abbas (YP08-FATA01), Ms. Elwina Rauf (YP10-GB01), Mr. Salman Khan Shinwari (YP18-KPK05) and Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08) would like to move the following resolution: “This house is moving a resolution to condemn the sectarian violence in the country in which scores of innocent lives are lost. We demand the government to arrest the perpetrators of this heinous crime and take immediate measures to stop the genocide of the innocent Shia Muslims in the country.”
