  Brief Profile  

Ms. Anum Zia was born on September 18, 1989 in Lahore. She holds a Bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. Currently, she is pursuing her M.Phil at Lahore School of Economics. She has worked in Shaukat Khanum, WWF, NESPAK and Nestle as an intern. Ms. Zia has held the post of Environment president at Kinnaird College for women, Lahore. Her areas of interests include Environment and Education.

Politically, Anum Zia was affiliated with Blue Party and was member of Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Information Technology and Telecommunication

Government should take immediate steps to provide security to media personnel, both local and foreigner and should ensure the provision of basic human right of life security to them. ”

Such Political advertisements on television should be banned in order to give the general population an opportunity to self-evaluate and choose their leaders."

Ratifying international treaties and opting for international standards is effective only if there is proper implementation. The government should take immediate actions to encounter problems of deforestation, rapid urban growth, excessive greenhouse gas emissions, among other things aiding the problem of climate change and opt for a more sustainable model of growth and development.”

Feasible steps should be taken to ensure that primary schooling should be made compulsory and hindrances in this process should be dealt with an iron hand.”
