  Brief Profile  

Mr. Hassan Ashraf was born on February 28, 1984 in Bhimber, AJK. He has an undergraduate degree from NUCES (FAST) University Islamabad and a Masters degree from University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He has held the post of General Secretary of Peoples Student Federation (PSF) from District Bhimber. He was politically active both in his constituency and in Birmigham. He has travelled to Dubai, Greece, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Denmark. Mr. Ashraf's work experience includes working in a healthcare company on healthcare applications and healthcare IT in England for more than four years.

Politically, Hassan Ashraf was affiliated with Blue Party and was member of Youth Parliament Standing Committee on Interior, Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA and former Youth Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication from Session I to Session IV

Mr. Hassan Ashraf (YP01-AJK01), Mr. Touseef Ahmed Abbassi (YP01-AJK02), Mr. Siraj Din Memon (YP57-SINDH09), Mr. Amir Abbas (YP08-FATA01), Mr. Najeeb Abid Baloch (YP05-BALOCHISTAN03), Ms. Elwina Rauf (YP10-GB01) and Ms. Anum Mohsin (YP22-PUNJAB02) would like to move the following resolution: “This House is of the opinion that immediate action should be taken for due constitutional recognition and empowerment of the liberated territories (Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir) for better administration and economic development of these regions, without compromising Pakistan’s claim over the State of Jammu & Kashmir”.

Mr. Hassan Ashraf (YP01-AJK01) to introduce a Bill further to amend the Article 257 constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in order to empower the liberated territories of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Mr. Omair Najam (YP52-SINDH04), Mr. Hassan Ashraf (YP01-AJK1) and Mr. Gohar Zaman (YP25-PUNJAB05) would like to move the following resolution; “This House is of the opinion that Kashmir conflict is the main cause of dispute between Pakistan and India. For the speedy resolution of the conflict both countries should include the Kashmiri Leadership in the dialogue process. Moreover both countries should demilitarize the Jammu and Kashmir Valley to abridge the trust deficient.”

Mr. Touseef Ahmed Abbasi (YP02-AJK02), Mr. Hassan Ashraf (YP02-AJK02) and Ms. Anam Saeed (YP28-PUNJAB08) to move the following Motion: “This House may discuss the Article 295-B & C of Pakistan Penal Code (Act XLV of 1860).Article 295-B states “Whoever willfully defiles, damages or desecrates a copy of the Holy Qur'an or of an extract there from or uses it in any derogatory manner or for any unlawful purpose shall be punishable with imprisonment for life.”Article 295-C states “Whoever by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation or by any imputation, innuendo, or insinuation, directly or indirectly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life, and shall also be liable to fine.”
