                      Stockholm, November 29; Members of the Youth Parliament 
                      delegation, currently on a Study Visit to Sweden, visited 
                      the Stockholm City Council Hall, the Swedish Institute and Pressombudsmannen today. 
                      
                      During 
                      the visit to the City Hall, the Members of the Youth 
                      Parliament were given a guided tour of City Council Hall 
                      by Chief of Protocol, Mr. Christian Kamill, who 
                      gave a briefing on the selection procedure of the City 
                      Council and functioning of the Municipality of Stockholm. 
                      During the meeting, Mr. Samuel Branting, Project 
                      Manager Stockholm Youth Parliament, also gave a brief 
                      presentation on the working of the Stockholm Youth 
                      Parliament. 
                      
                      Later in the evening, Members of the Youth 
                      Parliament Pakistan visited the Swedish Institute (SI), 
                      where Ms. Asa Lundmark, Head of Developing 
                      Programme Unit of the Swedish Institute, briefed the 
                      Members of the Youth Parliament Pakistan about the role of 
                      the SI in collaboration with various countries of the 
                      world. Mr. Erik Ekedahl, Communication Strategist 
                      at the SI, discussed the possibilities of a Youth 
                      Leadership Program for South Asia. 
                      
                      Members of the Youth Parliament Pakistan 
                      also visited the office of Swedish Press Ombudsman. Ms. 
                      Kersti Soderberg, Vice Press Ombudsman of Sweden, 
                      briefly explained the structure and working of the Swedish 
                      Press Ombudsman and answered questions of the members of 
                      Youth Parliament Pakistan.

            part of the delegation.   
                      
                      The Study Visit, supported by the Swedish 
                      Embassy, Islamabad and the Swedish Institute (SI), 
                      Stockholm, is facilitated so as to provide an opportunity 
                      to selected Youth Parliament members to understand the 
                      Swedish political and Parliamentary system and engage in a 
                      meaningful dialogue with Swedish youth counterparts on 
                      issues of mutual interest and concern. |  |
